{"id":361,"date":"2012-09-04T14:58:25","date_gmt":"2012-09-04T14:58:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/?p=361"},"modified":"2012-09-04T22:28:59","modified_gmt":"2012-09-04T22:28:59","slug":"project-ideas-bang-drip-drip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/2012\/09\/04\/project-ideas-bang-drip-drip\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Ideas &#8211; Bang, Drip Drip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The two ideas I had sprang from a common thread of following the paths of molecules\/atoms. \u00a0Bang is about the first atom to escape into space after the Big Bang. \u00a0Drip Drip follows a water droplet from a leaky faucet all the way through many uses of water and its power on our planet.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Bang<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Emptiness, nothing and everything at once.\u00a0 You decide to break the silence.\u00a0 It all began\u2026with you.<\/p>\n<p>Bang<\/p>\n<p><strong>BANG &#8211; <\/strong>Accelerating as fast as possible, the brink of light, time stops around you as your journey begins.<\/p>\n<p>Alone\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collision Course<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALONE &#8211; <\/strong>The edge, surrounding particles speed farther and farther away.\u00a0 You can see it now all set in motion.\u00a0 You won\u2019t be part of it.\u00a0 Their brilliant light fades to a dim and then darkness.\u00a0 Can you find something new\u2026you wont see any of them again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COLLISION COURSE \u2013<\/strong> Fusion, together with a counter part.\u00a0 Mass times two and growing exponentially.\u00a0 Transforming from gas to solid.\u00a0 Growing to a new energy state.<\/p>\n<p>Internal\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 External<\/p>\n<p>The idea I am exploring here is the possible journey of the very first atom out of the big bang.\u00a0 Does your atom fly into nothingness or can you grow into a devouring black hole, resetting the events that you began.\u00a0 There is always the option to stay small.\u00a0 Maybe initiate life on a new planet or spend your eons radiating as a giant red dwarf.\u00a0 Choose your path.\u00a0 Combine with your surroundings.\u00a0 Slow down or keep your energy up.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Drip Drip<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The sink is leaking again.\u00a0 Drip drip.\u00a0 Where do you fall?<\/p>\n<p>Down the Drain\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Onto the Floor<\/p>\n<p><strong>DOWN THE DRAIN<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 <\/strong>Thru the pipe works and out the house.\u00a0 You are swept away into the filthy sewer system churning.\u00a0 The stream diverts.<\/p>\n<p>I smell salt\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I smell chlorine<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONTO THE FLOOR \u2013 <\/strong>You splash there resting for hours.\u00a0 Slowly you loose weight and eventually drift upwards and out the window.\u00a0 The suns warm rays pulling you higher.<\/p>\n<p>Into the Stratosphere\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Caught in the breeze<\/p>\n<p>The life of a water molecule.\u00a0 Think about it, water does not have one life, it is versatile.\u00a0 Liquid form, gassy clouds, frozen polar caps.\u00a0 Or it can be filthy, fresh or salty.\u00a0 Water can be destructive, corrosive and erosive.\u00a0 While also nourishing and beneficial.\u00a0 Water is a powerful element that could potentially have many narrative elements if applied to a game structure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The two ideas I had sprang from a common thread of following the paths of molecules\/atoms. \u00a0Bang is about the first atom to escape into space after the Big Bang. \u00a0Drip Drip follows a water droplet from a leaky faucet all the way through many uses of water and its power on our planet.
