{"id":1399,"date":"2016-11-07T18:35:53","date_gmt":"2016-11-07T18:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2016\/?p=1399"},"modified":"2016-11-07T20:53:58","modified_gmt":"2016-11-07T20:53:58","slug":"thriller-redux-pt-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2016\/2016\/11\/07\/thriller-redux-pt-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Thriller Redux Pt.2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"840\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7wdeyl_wVbY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/m9sbclt4x0okia2\/ThrillerReduxPart2%203.zip?dl=1\">OSX Build<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thriller Redux Pt.2 is about\u00a0appropriation and the death of the music video. \u00a0Thriller, the twelve\u00a0and a half minute music video, was in my opinion\u00a0<em>Peek Music Video<\/em>. \u00a0In this piece, a group of Goofy characters\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: #f5f6f5\">performs the Thriller Dance while destroying a large model of a TV. \u00a0 This is my second experiment with creating a Music Video Game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #f5f6f5\">Why Goofy? \u00a0The character Goofy is\u00a0<\/span>Disney&#8217;s appropriation of black culture. \u00a0Michael Jackson and Thriller is the world&#8217;s appropriation of black culture.<\/p>\n<p>This work also explores some technical items I want to achieve in my final project. \u00a0Parts of the environment\u00a0were created using a Voxel-ish method and are all elements affected by physics.
