I recommend a gridline every 100 points with 10 subdivisions..<br \/>\nView&gt;snap to grid<br \/>\nView&gt;show grid<br \/>\nWindow&gt;info dock the panel somewhere so you can see your coordinates<\/p>\n<p>Try to draw the oval and the main shapes using ellipses, and rectangles with rounded corners without stroke.<br \/>\nWithout outlines you can create complex shapes by layering simple ones of the same color.<\/p>\n<p>Do not rotate shapes because rotating in p5 is annoying.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, you can use lines, arcs and curves to create details like mouths, eyebrows, etc<\/p>\n<p>Remember that thick lines can be used as shapes. You can change the caps with <a href=\"https:\/\/p5js.org\/reference\/#\/p5\/strokeCap\">strokeCaps<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can try Illustrator&#8217;s &#8220;curvature tool&#8221;, which is similar to p5 <a href=\"https:\/\/p5js.org\/reference\/#\/p5\/curveVertex\">curveVertex<\/a>, see the examples below<\/p>\n<p>Create a non random palette. You can use a <a href=\"https:\/\/color.adobe.com\/create\/color-wheel\">palette creator<\/a> or a <a href=\"https:\/\/color.adobe.com\/create\/image\">palette extraction tool<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/color.adobe.com\/explore\">search random stuff here<\/a> until you find a color scheme you like.<br \/>\nTry this <a href=\"https:\/\/meodai.github.io\/poline\/?utm_source=ridd-tweet&amp;utm_medium=ridd&amp;utm_campaign=ridd\">esoteric palette creator<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Live symmetry is weirdly hard to set up in Illustrator but you can do it by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gMn5RhDyfNE&amp;ab_channel=hikeart\"> following this tutorial<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Check out <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/facesinthings?lang=en\">faces-in-things pictures for inspiration<\/a> beyond pop culture.<\/p>\n<p>You can try to make it express one of the following emotions: anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, surprise.<br \/>\n(Anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness and surprise are the basic emotions identified by Paul Ekman. can it be applied in illustration and anywhere.\u00a0Mind that there is no fixed system to create ramps and palettes,\u00a0but it\u2019s a good idea to familiarize with the practice of hue the ramps are interlocking, so you can have more harmonious edges or tinted outlines that work with different colors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full
