{"id":951,"date":"2012-09-18T21:26:04","date_gmt":"2012-09-18T21:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/?p=951"},"modified":"2012-09-18T22:39:19","modified_gmt":"2012-09-18T22:39:19","slug":"visual-story-ideas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/2012\/09\/18\/visual-story-ideas\/","title":{"rendered":"Visual Story Ideas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1) What Did You Witness?<\/p>\n<p>For this idea I was inspired by Paolo&#8217;s\u00a0demonstration\u00a0in class of creating characters from manipulated simple shapes. \u00a0But in this case, the player will be &#8220;designing&#8221; the character. \u00a0The game starts off with a pixelated background of a dark alley, a building, and a vague silhouetted\u00a0figure. \u00a0Then Policeman Bob will show up to inform you that you have just witnessed a crime and need to describe the perp. \u00a0Policeman Bob will ask questions relating to the perp&#8217;s physical appearance, specifically: lower body type (boxy, round, v-shaped), lower body size (long, squat, proportional), upper body type (boxy, round, v-shaped), upper body size (long, squat, proportional), head shape (oval, rectangular, heart-shaped), head size (long, squat, proportional), gender, skin color, hair color, hair type (curly, straight, wavy), hair length (long, short, shoulder-length), clothing color, and shoe color. \u00a0At the end, the player will brought to the police station to identify the perp they described. \u00a0The player &#8220;wins&#8221; if he found identified the correct criminal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/policeOfficer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-957\" src=\"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/policeOfficer-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/policeOfficer-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/policeOfficer-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/policeOfficer.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2) Enchanted Wilderness<\/p>\n<p>In this game, the player would be hiking and stumble under an &#8220;enchanted&#8221; forest with legendary animals. \u00a0He then gets to choose which animal he wants to follow and learn about , make friends with, or capture. \u00a0The three animals he can follow are a dragon, a unicorn, or a phoenix. \u00a0I want each of the three characters to have unexpected qualities: for instance, if the player decides to follow the unicorn, he always views it from the profile, and at the end he sees it head-on and it actually has two horns and is an evil, devil-type character.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/dragon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-958\" src=\"http:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/dragon-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/dragon-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/dragon-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mycours.es\/gamedesign2012\/files\/2012\/09\/dragon.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1) What Did You Witness?
