Mystic South: Irma

Mystic South: Irma

Issues have been addressed, here’s new builds.

A woman visits the matriarch and patriarch of her community to abandon her daughter.

Note: There is sound. It is very important.

Note #2: I made this in Unity, because documentation. To play this game: 1) Download the zip file appropriate for your machine: Mac or PC. 2) Unzip. 3) Double click the executable. 4) A window will pop up. Set the drop down menu to your screen resolution. 5) Profit?

  1. Very strong aesthetically. Liked the prints, and you did a pretty good job of writing Alabaman. Unfortunately, I was experiencing a bug where at every dialogue option the game auto-chose the last option form the set. I like it enough that I would have been okay with it being completely linear, but I didn’t get the chance to really explore it’s themes.

  2. You don’t have to zip the entire 300mb project the app and exe are enough.
Great style and intriguing system but there should be a visual feedback for the multiple choices. Make the fade slower, right now it’s just weird. Figure out a way to introduce that fading mechanic more clearly.

  3. really beautiful visuals. No matter what resolution and quality settings I chose, the game was super slow for me and the words were cut off on the side of the screen.

    1. I had the same problem.
