  1. Got caught in a few loops and wasn’t sure how to continue, sorry. I would enjoy it more if the way to finish was clearer, if there is a way to finish.

  2. The illustrations were really nice and definitely enhanced the emotions that you were trying to convey. You explore this firefly’s tortured past, but it seems easy to get stuck in loops as Luke mentioned. I was a bit confused trying to piece together all of his memories. Is there an ending, or is it intentionally just a web of memories that are all interrelated and keep linking back to each other endlessly?

  3. I really like the picture at the beginning, because there is no other easily imaginable indication of what the characters look like. Not that that’s a bad thing, we don’t need any other images after the first one in my opinion. Unfortunately though I also got caught in a few loops, and I’m not sure if there was an end to the story.

  4. I enjoyed the creation of a narrative that actually took some ‘redos’. I don’t know if it is intentional but the complex web of memories was a nice (but maybe not satisfying) alternative to an easy to reach ending.

  5. Got caught in loops and got the “you played wrong” ending. Tried other routes, kept getting loops. Was that intentional?

  6. I liked the concept of this and the art helped a lot with visualization. I think I got stuck in an info loop though, and couldn’t get back to the story without restarting completely…

  7. I’m not sure how to get an ending other than “You played it wrong”… got stuck on the page and ended up being “yes, yes I’ve read all about his life now but where’s the closure?”

  8. Actually I’m glad that somebody experimented with a proper hypertext structure that doesn’t provide a clear reading direction. The challenge of a non-human character here is not taken all the way through: the characters seem to behave like humans in a human-like society. Real fireflies are quite interesting, especially their mating habits, they can provide a lot o narrative material.

  9. A really sweet and thoughtful story, makes me think about my life.
