I'm Alan! currently a Junior in HCI and a not yet defined self-defined major. I've programmed in Python and Java most recently. I have also used processing and a tiny bit of openFrameworks. I am decent in Maya and Photoshop. During the Summer I developed web applications which used PHP, some JavaScript, CSS and MySQL.

  1. I had a little bit of a hard time understanding some of the dialogue, which I guess was intentional. What is this game supposed to convey about the player’s mind? Are you a child? On drugs? The game is also pretty short and there didn’t seem to be too much interaction between characters – I would have liked to seen more conversations happening between entities in your mind.

  2. I was very confused for most of this story. I think this is some messed up dream land in which you eventually wake up from realizing it’s a dream or wake up after an alien invasion of some sort? The art, on the other hand, works really well for cementing this weird dream-like world.

  3. The dialogue reminded me of a Furby.

  4. Hahaha what just happened? It kept me curious as to what would happen next, because the results of your actions were always unexpected and random. Neat character design too! Was a fun little trip, even though I had no idea where I went…

  5. I actually really liked the dialogue. I think the “what green is this” line could actually be really iconic. That said, I think the scope was too narrow, with the only endings being going to infinity or deciding that you are in a dream. Also, I wouldn’t use a fade transition within interactions in the same scene. I think move would be more appropriate. Cool idea and nice color palette though

  6. I think I just got abducted by aliens? It’s unclear.

    I’m so confused.

  7. I am really confused. I liked the baby talk but some of it I really had no idea what was being said and it made it really hard to make any decisions because of it. The game seemed pretty short but the visuals were pretty interesting.

  8. I am not sure what to think about this. The colors and design reminded me of some late 80s early 90s styles that haunt my childhood, ha. I think you should push it farther, more choices and story. Perhaps the language can be decoded as you go so eventually it actually makes some sense.

  9. Excellent! Way too short but worth expanding. The childish style is charming and consistent with the language. I like the pseudo-English parts better and I second Will’s suggestion to make it more understandable as the story goes on.
