On Monday some of you may be out of town to see the eclipse.
Class is not technically canceled, rather we are calling it a work day.
The exercise is to make a downpour on the theme of the eclipse during the day of the eclipse.
Don’t document the eclipse (and don’t look at the sun!), think of an oblique approach.
You can talk about the event, what’s happening on campus while people wait for it, the trip to get to the 100% area if you do so, the history of eclipse, your relationship with celestial bodies, etc.
You can work in teams of two.
It can be short but incorporate branches and clickable things like in the first Downpour exercise, don’t just make a slideshow.
