  1. This game is strangely beautiful. I like how you combine realistic, almost disgusting visuals with an absurd concept. One thing you might consider is giving each tool multiple uses, like you can use the scalpel to cut open the heart or something.

  2. those drawings. really niiiiiiice hmmmmmm mhmmmmmmmm. it starts as a pretty decent animation, and devolves into utter ridiculous. i wish the stretching back of skin and pinning it down was animated, it could have made it much more visceral. otherwise very weird and a good experience

  3. Heh, so crazy. If you can in the future, avoid bitmap images since they look odd when you stretch them. Was fun to play though – I loves me some guts.

  4. I love the art! And the idea of dissecting a unicorn is super cool. I think you executed this well, but were there only 3 ‘steps’ to the sequence? It would have been cool if after you get past those 3 steps to be able to pick any of the available tools and have different ‘paths’ emerge, but that might get a little complex. Or maybe have the organs be clickable? I really like it overall. 🙂

  5. The art is soooo good! this was such a cool idea and you’re right, sounds would have made it that much better. I do wish i could pick up the knife and other tools though. but awesome project nonetheless

  6. Really interesting, the progression of the dissection was interesting, and the ending was definitely a twist (badumbum). I like how things just sort of don’t add up and I am just left with a feeling of confusion that works well in this case. Clicking around was for the most part intuitive but I would also love if I could have you know actually sliced the unicorn open (weird to say) instead of just clicking on the scalpel. But overall a really fun animation, if not disturbing. I like the colors you used as well.

  7. This game is oddly attractive. The disgusting and grotesque is quite nice if given nice colors. I cannot talk about the interaction enough. I like how it is splayed open for you to see how it makes things work through minimal interaction.

  8. The black hole at the end is pretty cool, I thought it was the end and then everything started to go in and then then the unicorn started to rotate and everything just got crazy cool.
I don’t know if you know this site but its pretty cool for dissecting lab style http://www.froguts.com/

  9. Great drawing + idea. It’s a good start but there should be mouse over “hints” and sounds.

  10. There’s a black hole at the end? All I seem to be able to do is click on the three tools

  11. Might be more fun with some really intense animations. Even some simple click and drag would make it more engaging. As Alan pointed out, there have been other iterations of this, and I wish you had done something that was unexpected with the anatomy. Although the ending was funny I didn’t think it was effective as an end. The style is great.

  12. Well-developed game. The art is very good, but it needs sound (you know that already). I also wish the tools had multiple uses so that they weren’t entirely useless after you cut open the skin.

  13. I agree with murray. Fun to open er up but after that I kept trying to use the tools to do other stuffs and they just sat 😛 Liked the crazy end though!

  14. As everyone said, the art is great. I agree that I wish I could have actually used the tools and some hits as to which tool to use next would have helped. In terms of the ending, I though the black hole took away from the rest of the game, both visually and in terms of story. I would encourage you to develop it further and to stick with the theme of dissection.

  15. Poor Charlie….

  16. Okay this is kind ofwait what just happened

    you became a star

robot unicorn attack references aside, I’m confused as to what the goal of this was. Was the player supposed to have something in mind, or was it just “look at the colorful unicorn innards?”

    1. damn and blast, there was only the one line that was supposed to be strikethrough

why can’t we edit comments on here?

  17. I definitely wish we could see more of the dissection than just taking out the organs and I also wanted to use the tools more than once. This game has a lot of room for expansion which I’d definitely like to see.
