  1. I love this. I was actually sad that I was taking the stars away, so I stopped half-way through. I think that it is one of those little games that you play and makes you think about experiences and interactions outside those of the game.

Also I like dying from catching the star.

  2. I like the meaning behind the game. And I agree with Nathan, I was trying to catch the flying stars at first, hoping it would trigger something lol.

  3. I raised the city all the way to the end, making the stars fade completely, in the hopes that I could still click them after they had disappeared. It’s funny, your game made me care way more about the ordinary stars than the shooting one.

  4. I agree that I didn’t want the stars to disappear. The game was strangely sad, given that the player had the power to make the stars go away but they didn’t want to.

One thing to consider is that the bricks that form the buildings are too large to be structurally sound, and would likely shatter in an earthquake. You may want to note somewhere that this is not near any coastlines or areas with high seismic activity.

  5. I really like the art style you have hear. Reminds me a bit of Samorost. You know what everything is even though you didn’t quite build buildings, you just understand the concrete and brick to be buildings and I like the progression of the game. You are somewhat confused in the beginning about what is going on but as soon as you see that first tip of the brick and the light coming up I at least started furiously clicking on the stars feeling like some god raising a city from the earth. I was a little sad at the end when the stars disappeared and realized what I did. While the gameplay is pretty straight forward, I think it works really well with your design and I didn’t get left with a feeling like something was lacking. Well done. I am going to have to play again because I didn’t realize you could die from catching one of the red stars.

  6. I’d love to see an immersive, realistic game where the only goal is to see shooting start before the city develops.

  7. i think this game is very simple but beautiful, as those above have said. it gives the player a lot of agency, letting them decide to keep stars around, try to catch the shooting ones, enjoy the show, or let the city rise. it’s completely tailored to their desire; there’s a bittersweetness to every choice though; everything leads to missing something else

  8. LOL RANDOM ROCK FROM OFF SCREEN! Seemed a bit out of place, but I like it.

  9. Caught the falling star after much trying. Whoooooops colony drop.

I liked the idea and visuals, I actually felt like the shooting star catch goal took away from the overall point though. Maybe instead have multip

    1. le different ways the city could grow? (guh, my keyboard is being a jerk.)

  10. So I haven’t been able to catch a falling star yet; working on it though. I love the aesthetics.

    1. Oh, SNAP – meteor death! That’s awesome.

  11. Looks great and ditto to what was said before about the message and the player’s own influence in the outcome based on their desire. I wish that there was a “happy” ending though; I don’t know if you intended for the meteor to destroy the buildings so you could see the night sky but that would have been a rewarding ending. Maybe it wipes out the planet so all you see is stars?

  12. Hahahaha nice! I was just tryin to snipe the stars n BAM got killed, had that ‘wtf factor’, but in a good way 🙂

  13. I thought the texture of the city buildings seemed a bit off, but the concept was really cool. I would also have liked to see the gameplay evolve a bit from just “click this star 50 times”, but it was solid

  14. I agree with paolo, immersive reality sensory experiences with stars would be cool.

  15. I adore the ending of this game where the buildings rise up from the horizon and obscure the stars. Very cool ‘message’, so to speak. I do wish that the ending was faster though because I ended up just clicking on a star repeatedly until I got that ending (I was able to catch a star fairly quickly).
