Rollin like a baws

  1. I found this game intriguing, especially because of its minimalist aesthetic. I was a bit confused as to what to do, however. I wouldn’t recommending showing this game to small children or hospital patients.

  2. I thought this was a really interesting game, you really made me explore my screen to figure out exactly where I was and possibly what to do. I would probably put this under the escape the room genre but you did it in an interesting enough way that I personally didn’t care. I like the lack of color and the natural progression of key -> key hole = progress. However, when I finally opened the door there was really nothing that let me know that I was done with the game, so I was left viciously clicking on everything hoping for some real closure. Well done in my opinion. I am really curious how in the world you figured out how to fix the seizure in the beginning though.

  3. Nice idea but “key opens door” is a little too standard I would have played more with the dark vs light theme and the slow reveal (Hitler worked).

  4. I think I won? I didn’t see the door open. I got a headache from looking around, but finding the key was a cool experience

  5. The flashlight aspect makes this game really cool. Literally the first thing I saw was Hitler, which, depending on your outlook either means someone locked me in an abandoned Nazi house with only a flashlight, or I myself am a paranoid old Nazi and my power’s out, so I have to find all of my hidden keys to unlock my door. This game is very playable, and the only things that really threw me were when the lamp came on (I was really into the flashlight so that kind of bummed me out), and when I finally opened the door and nothing happened. Was that the intended end? It would be great if there was some indicator.

  6. Nice design~ It would be nice if you could add a mask on top of the room. I can see the celling and the floor under light because of my browser size is a little bigger than the game. Also, it would be nice if there is a leaving animation when I unlock the door 😛 Overall, good job.

  7. a really interesting game! it has a clear goal, and a strong puzzle element. i like that random picture of hitler stylistically; maybe choosing a similar portrait or a similar element to put elsewhere to give it more continuity. the door swinging back at the end should fall behind the wall; it lacks real dimension. the clock hands rotation is a nice touch

  8. Really nice art, and I like the idea of only having a very tiny area in which you can see so you really have to look at every little thing in the game. I like the little details you included like the Hitler book and the clock hands moving. I couldn’t figure out what to do past grabbing something from the clock, though.

  9. Very intuitive game, you instantly know that you are looking for something. There were a lot of keys scattered around so I wasn’t sure if I could have used any key or if I needed to collect them all. I would have liked some secret reveal at the end of some sort of secret about where I am or some result to my actions. I liked it though.

  10. I like the flashlight idea and the somewhat haunting aesthetic works well with the game. I had the hardest time finding the third key in the corner.

  11. I liked the aesthetics a lot and I understood that I was looking for something but I didn’t know what. Because I read these comments I tried looking for keys but it was confusing as to what they did they disappeared when I clicked them. I agree with the others that you could have found a more interesting application than lock-and-key.

  12. I think i broke your game because once i dragged the black thing too far to the left or right it would disappear off the screen and i would begin to see the scene.
the keys were also difficult to see.
but i thought the game itself was really cool.
